PolicyForge ("PolicyForge," "we," "us," or "our") is a product of NumberOneSonSoftware. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our website at getpolicyforge.com and the AI-powered legal document generator service we provide (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

When you use the Service, you may provide the following information:

  • Business details: the name, website URL, business type, and country you enter into the generator form
  • Contact email: the email address you enter on the form or provide at Stripe checkout
  • Payment details: card information is collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. PolicyForge never sees or stores your full card number
  • Correspondence: if you email us at support@getpolicyforge.com, we retain that correspondence to answer your request

b. Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages viewed, referrer, approximate geographic region, device type, and browser
  • Log data: IP address, request timestamps, and error events for security and debugging
  • Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies required for the Service to function, and (where applicable) analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service documents you request
  • Process payment for the $9 document unlock via Stripe
  • Deliver purchased documents to you on the success page
  • Respond to support inquiries and operate the Service
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your form inputs to train any AI model. Your business details are sent to OpenAI only for the purpose of generating your document, subject to OpenAI's data handling terms.

Form inputs submitted to generate a free preview are retained only for the duration of the request and are not stored long-term on our servers. Purchase records, including the business details included as Stripe metadata, are retained for as long as required to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically 7 years). Support correspondence is retained for up to 3 years. You may request earlier deletion by emailing support@getpolicyforge.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

  • Access and portability: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: request that we correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion: request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Objection / restriction: object to or restrict certain processing
  • Opt-out of sale or sharing (California): we do not sell or share your information for cross-context behavioral advertising
