Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PolicyForge website at getpolicyforge.com and the AI-powered legal document generator service (collectively, the "Service"), operated by NumberOneSonSoftware ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

The Service provides AI-generated Privacy Policy and Terms of Service document templates based on business details you provide. You may generate a free preview. To download the complete documents, you pay a one-time fee of $9 USD via Stripe.

3. Not Legal Advice

PolicyForge is not a law firm. No attorney-client relationship is formed by using the Service. The documents we generate are templates intended as a starting point. They do not constitute legal advice and are not a substitute for consulting a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and determining the suitability of any generated document for your situation.

4. Your Account and Inputs

The Service does not require you to create an account. When you use the Service:

• You represent that any information you submit is true and accurate
• You represent that you have the right to provide the information and to have documents generated on behalf of the business named
• You are responsible for keeping your copy of any purchased documents secure once delivered

5. Payment

Purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. By submitting payment, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge the applicable fee to your payment method. All fees are stated in US Dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

6. License to Use Documents

Upon successful payment, you receive a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use the generated documents for your own business or personal website. You may modify them freely. You may not resell the raw generated documents as a competing product or republish them as a template library.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or bypass rate limits or the paywall
• Submit content that infringes third-party rights or violates any law
• Impersonate another person or business
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Service

8. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — including the site design, code, branding, and content (excluding the documents we generate for you) — is owned by NumberOneSonSoftware and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service itself.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and all generated documents are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the documents will satisfy the legal requirements of any particular jurisdiction or situation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NumberOneSonSoftware and PolicyForge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or for any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Refunds

Our refund policy is described separately at /refund-policy and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
